Stray Dogs and Cats of Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico has a massive stray dog and cat population.

The obvious solution to a overpopulation is to spay and neuter your animals.  This is easy to say, but requires funding to do.   Extreme poverty and year round warm climate contribute massively to the problem.  Puppies can easily find a home, but what about the ones that are "too ugly" or too old, or too sickly to find a permanent home?

Many people across the island have taken it

upon themselves to help these strays.  Usually at their expense.  Food alone is expensive and costs are increasing daily.  It Blooms directly donates food to the people watching out for these animals, contributes medicine, and helps pay for vet bills for the ones requiring care.  It's not possible to take them all home, though we wish we could.  Some very lucky ones get to call It Blooms home.  We won't be stopping anytime soon and we thank you for your support.

If you know of someone on the island caring for strays by themselves please contact us.  Together we can help even more.
